Today, my project group mates and i decided to go explore the place we are going to hold the camp at. and GOSH! it is really a deserted place! it is at ubi. have never ever heard of this place before till i did this project. anyways, while we were exploring the place, my friend needed a toilet!!! how unfortunate! As besides forests, there are really not much industrial estates there! After much searching, we found a public toilet but it was locked! n the keys were with the police coastguard. hence, one of our groupmates Joel decided to gather up his courage and go ask the police coastguard, whether could we use the toilet or not. however, to our dismay. the police said no!!! the toilet is not a public toilet! When joel asked the coast guard if they could relax the rules a little, they slammed the door at him!!!
Hiax...sometimes i think we singaporeans are really brought up in an environment whereby we have become so inflexible.
Thus, we carried on with our search, and our poor friend had to endure the stomachache as she walked along with us. decided to ask the owner of a private estate for the use of her toilet. n i tell u, she was really God sent! she was super duper nice! after letting us in, she kept on apologising that her toilet was very old and was sorry that we had to use it. Then, she offered us drinks and due to some poor flushing system, she told us not to worry about the toilet not being able to flush as she would help us clear after we are gone!! How nice right!!! cos my friend was doing big business not small business. so can u imagine the mess she had to try to flush down! N knowing that her toilet had flushing problems, she still let us in to use it!!! She is really God-sent man! Haha, but fortunately, the flush system was working quite well. hence, she did not need to clear up after us.
on our way out of her house, she kept on apologising for her old toilet, and even told us how to go to the place we were going without us asking her for directions.
What a nice lady!
She really made our day=)
